At Lockhart Baptist Church, we work very hard in developing programs and opportunities which will help followers of Christ grow in their spiritual lives. However, our first concern is that everyone experience salvation through the saving power of Jesus Christ. People will make many decisions throughout their lives, but there is no decision more important than inviting Jesus as Lord and Savior into ones heart. This decision alone will determine a persons eternal destiny.

"Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." Studying the Bible is vital because God has chosen to communicate and guide us through his Word. The Bible is the written record of the revelation of his Son, Jesus Christ. We believe it and accept it as God's word to us, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today. Learning its truths is a thrilling adventure.
A place for Enrichment
Just as Jesus came "not to be ministered unto, but to minister..." the Bible teaches that every Christian is gifted for service. Lockhart offers a wealth of opportunities for every person at every age level -- special programs and ministries for children, youth and adults - where you can be enriched as you exercise your gifts for God's glory. In this kaleidoscope of activities there's more than one place where you can find meaning and personal fulfillment as God uses you to enrich others. We accept out responsibility to reach out in service to others within the church family and outside our fellowship.

The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration.
